Mipa's Matt Lacquer is recommended for vehicle overpainting and spot painting. Go over both solvent and water-based paints. Mipa matt varnish provides excellent protection in various climate conditions, as well as against chemical and mechanical stress. The degree of gloss can be adjusted by mixing the product with Mipan CC8 clear lacquer.
You can get a silky matte finish by mixing matte lacquer and CC8 clear lacquer with a 9:1 mixing ratio. You can get a semi-gloss finish by mixing matte varnish and CC8 clear varnish with a 4:1 mixing ratio.
- Mixing ratio: overcoating, 3:1 with HS25 or HS35 hardener, spot painting with 3:1 HS10 hardener.
- Thinner: 15-20% Mipa Acrylic Thinner.
- Injection pressure: 2.5-3bar.
- Intermediate evaporation: 5-10 minutes.
- Drying time 20C. : dust dry 30 minutes, touch dry 12 hours, completely dry 24 hours.
- Drying time 60C. : dust dry 5 minutes, touch dry 30 minutes, completely dry 2 hours.
Other recommendations: To ensure the right degree of gloss, especially on large surfaces, spray a thin layer of varnish last.
